Washingborough Hall is highly regarded as a superb place for special occasion dining, Sunday luncheon and also the celebration of family events. The restaurant has 2 AA rosettes led by award-winning head-chef Mark Cheseldine.
Mark is passionate about flavour and presentation, using locally sourced, fresh ingredients, creating inspirational menus with flare and freshness. Joint head chef with Anthony Smith, they are responsible for a team of 7, all are dedicated to high kitchen standards and methods of cookery using the highest quality fresh produce, locally sourced from the farms and fields of Lincolnshire.
The hotel is also a pretty and peaceful location at which to enjoy traditional English afternoon tea, either in one of the cosy lounge areas, or during the summer, outside enjoying the lovely surroundings of the peaceful landscaped gardens.
Afternoon tea is also available each day from 12pm – 4pm (except for Sundays when it is served from 3pm) and can be served for groups up to 100 people; a delicious treat for a birthday celebration or get-together.
Dinner is served in the elegant, Georgian ‘Sibthorpe’ Room each evening: à la carte with a delicious selection of British seasonal dishes, including meat, fish and game, complemented with fine wines, local cheeses and mouth-watering desserts.
Less formal dining is also available in the bar area and at lunchtimes too – a tasty and reasonably priced selection of Brasserie-style dishes is available daily from 6pm until 9pm, except on Sundays when available from 4pm – 9pm.
Sunday luncheon with all the trimmings is very popular – from £19.50 (2 courses) Highly recommended to book in advance.
Private dining for up to 110 guests is a speciality of this hotel in a choice of four different rooms, with a selection of set menus to choose from, or if required your own bespoke requirements. The snug is a lovely cosy area which is available for intimate groups, up to ten people, to enjoy private dining.
