The Birdcage

A quirky, friendly, welcoming pub not far from Broadgate and Lincoln College, serving home-cooked food, real ale, and ciders.

There is a large beer garden at the rear of the pub and on cooler days there are real open fires.

There's always something on:

  • 1st Wednesday of every month: ‘Uncaged’ Spoken Word Night;
  • 2nd Wednesday of every month: Quiz & Curry night;
  • Last Tuesday of every month: ‘Songbird’ Open Mic night;
  • Last Wednesday of every month: ‘Birdcage Bibliophiles’ Book Club;
  • Monthly Karaoke;
  • Live music every other weekend.

Home-cooked food at The Birdcage includes all the pub favourites and curry, burgers and fish & chips offers in the week. Plus baguettes, paninis & jacket potatoes. Roasts are available on Sundays 12pm – 3pm. Gluten-free is heavily catered for.

Friendly dogs on leads are welcome. Children are welcome before 9pm with games available to play and a selection of bar snacks for sale. The Birdcage is close to Lincoln's Premier Inn.
