Marking the 800th anniversary of the 1217 Battle of Lincoln, see one of England's most important battles at Lincoln Castle over the Bank Holiday Weekend.

Experience the 1217 Battle of Lincoln Fair at Lincoln Castle as Nichola de la Haye and Sir William Marshal defend the castle against the forces of Prince Louis of France and the rebellious English Barons.

Throughout each day, the 1217 Battle of Lincoln will be played out through a series of vignettes with a cast of over 100 armoured soldiers, both French and English.

A supporting cast of Garrison soldiers from archers to men-at-arms and mounted Knights will bring to life the scenes of medieval combat and conflict.
