A picturesque, traffic-free cycle route leading from Lincoln's Brayford Waterfront to the Nottinghamshire village of Harby.
From the Brayford Waterfront, take this smooth-surfaced cycle path west along the Fossdyke Naviagtion and south alongside the A64 towards Harby (6 miles). Free from traffic and taking in beautiful views of the canal and surrounding countryside, this is an ideal route for casual and family cyclists.
If you want a longer return ride, there is a circular route signed southwards along the river bank towards Whisby Nature Park and back to Harby (14 miles). Whisby Nature Park includes lakes, woodland, ponds, grasslands, heath and a wealth of wildlife. The lakeside visitor centre has exhibitions on ecological themes, a café, a shop and an award-winning children's play area.
The Lincoln - Harby route is part of National Route 64 which leads south to Market Harborough via Newark-on-Trent
