Whisby Nature Park
With over six miles of footpaths around Whisby's famous ponds and lakes and the Natural World Centre, Whisby Nature Park is a great place for a family day out.
Once a gravel pit, the nature reserve is now managed by Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust to encourage a variety of birds and wildlife, including nesting nightingales whose song can be heard during April and May. With over six miles of all ability pathways, you can explore the lakes and hides on foot or using one of the mobility scooters which can be hired from the Natural World Centre.
The centre offers the delightful Boardwalk Bistro where you can choose locally sourced food whilst enjoying the stunning lakeside views. A Gift shop offering unique gifts and crafts, with the emphasis on local crafters, Fair Trade and recycled products.
Topped off with amazing adventure play which is free for all the family to enjoy. Little Darters Wildlife Adventure Area and Otter’s Reach Indoor Adventure offers exciting ways to learn and have fun. Families can spend the whole day here – it’s only natural you’ll want to stay.

Park open from dawn till dusk (check gate for actual times).
Natural World Centre open daily:
- October to March: 10am – 4:30pm
- April to September: 10am – 5pm
Both the park and Natural World Centre are free to enter.
There is a charge of £2 per car between 10am and 4pm.
