The Usher Gallery

The Usher Gallery is one of the region's premier art galleries and is located next to The Collection in the heart of historic Lincoln.

The Usher Gallery, along with The Collection, displays a fine collection of fine and decorative arts and plays host to a huge variety of contemporary art exhibitions throughout the year. Alongside these they regularly put on talks and events that add another dimension to your experience of the exhibitions and displays on show.

Look out for the striking sculpture to the south-east of the Usher Gallery: A Mighty Blow for Freedom. Created by Michael Sande in 1988, it provides a stark contrast to its calm, peaceful surroundings as an expression of frustration against the media and technology.

All public areas of the Usher Gallery and The Collection are fully accessible and a buggy park and public lockers are available. Explore the wonderful art collections and exhibitions in the Usher Gallery before relaxing in the Stokes Cafe at The Collection across the road.

All areas of the Usher Gallery are accessible with flat surfaces and a lift to upper floors. Assistance dogs are welcome, there is a hearing loop installed and audio visual guides are available. There are Blue Badge parking spaces very cloe by and a drop off point.

See full accessibility details on the Usher Gallery Access Statement.
