Covering more than 200 acres, Hartsholme Country Park is a stunning open space to the south of the city. Visitors can enjoy walks and cycle rides through the lakes and ornamental grounds and lots of wildlife watching.
Hartsholme is a Green Flag Award winning park containing Victorian landscaped gardens, a large reservoir, woodlands and grasslands. There is also a visitor centre, children’s play area, cafe and a three star rated Touring Park and campsite.
The Visitor Centre has exhibitions and interactive features on the wildlife and history of Hartsholme Country Park and neighbouring Swanholme Lakes Local Nature Reserve. You can also pick up a map and guide to the Country Park in the Visitor Centre.
Join local RSPB members for a free guided walk of the park including bird watching. From 10:30am on the first Sunday of every month.

Hartsholme Country Park is a great spot for a Lincoln MicroBreak filled with nature, wildlife and wonder. With scenic walks around the reservoir and wooded trails, a children’s play area and picnic spots - there’s plenty of nature to soak up in a fun and striking setting.
Cycling to Hartsholme Country Park: Reaching Hartsholme Country Park by bike is quick and stress-free. Only three miles from the city centre it takes around 13 minutes to reach on a safe and easy cycle route. If travelling from Hykeham Station it’s 16 minutes and from Skellingthorpe Park & Bike station, 11 minutes. No need to worry about petrol, traffic or parking - just jump on your bike and be there in no time. Cycling around the park is only permitted on designated cycle paths. Cycle parking can be found outside the cafe.
