Hartsholme Country Park

Covering more than 200 acres, Hartsholme Country Park is a stunning open space to the south of the city. Visitors can enjoy walks and cycle rides through the lakes and ornamental grounds and lots of wildlife watching.

Hartsholme is a Green Flag Award winning park containing Victorian landscaped gardens, a large reservoir, woodlands and grasslands. There is also a visitor centre, children’s play area, cafe and a three star rated Touring Park and campsite.

The Visitor Centre has exhibitions and interactive features on the wildlife and history of Hartsholme Country Park and neighbouring Swanholme Lakes Local Nature Reserve. You can also pick up a map and guide to the Country Park in the Visitor Centre.

Join local RSPB members for a free guided walk of the park including bird watching. From 10:30am on the first Sunday of every month.
