3. Lincoln Free Walking Tour

Looking to let off some steam from studying? Take a trip to Jump Inc, Lincoln’s first indoor trampoline park. 2. The No Work Club
Located in Vulcan Park, The No Work Club is a multi-activity venue. The perfect place to bond with new flatmates, or make new friends, you will find a whole host of fun things to do here.
If you’re up for a challenge, we recommend booking one of the Escape Rooms. Tacking one of these will give you a chance to activate your team building skills with friends, and test your logical thinking skills ahead of your assignments. Together, you will have to face the ultimate test as you navigate 60 minutes of puzzles to earn your freedom from a room full of mystery. If you make it out (and you’re still friends), you can enjoy a drink at the bar and toast your success.
If action-packed activities are more your thing, you can unleash your inner lumberjack and test your strength with some axe throwing. 3. Coffee Cats
For a cuppa with a difference, visit Coffee Cats, Lincoln’s first ever cat café. A must-visit if you’re missing your childhood pet back home, you can relax and unwind as you indulge in delicious food, drinks, and feline companionship. Conveniently located at the foot of the Steep Hill, you can take an hour or two to escape the ordinary whilst surrounded by a delightful variety of friendly cats. The perfect stress reliever!
4. Everyman Cinema
Looking to be transported by the magic of the movies? Treat yourself to an unforgettable cinema experience at the groovy 70’s inspired Everyman Cinema. Showcasing a range of mainstream, independent and classic films there is something for everyone - and it is a great spot for a first date! This uber cool cinema offers alternative seating so you can sink into a comfy cushioned sofa, and relax in style.
Allow some time to enjoy the bar before your movie starts; there is a great food and drink menu here and the balcony outside offers the most incredible view of the recently renovated Cornhill Quarter. If you want to take a drink in with you, simply order at the bar and it will be delivered straight to your seat ahead of the opening credits.

1. Lincoln Arboretum
If you’re in need of a scenic picnic spot, or a tranquil escape, discover the charm of the Lincoln Arboretum. This grade II listed green space is located alongside Lincoln College, just off Monk’s Road. As you leave the busy street, you will step into a peaceful space full of intricate gardens, towering trees and open grassland. A great spot for a mindful walk, this pretty park is the perfect place to clear your head and soak up some sunshine. Dating back to Victorian times, the Arboretum is also complemented by some original historic features, including an open lake and a vintage bandstand, which has stood in the park since 1884.
2. Liquorice Park
For a natural green space, with views stretching across the city, visit Liquorice Park. Located in Lincoln’s West End, this former orchard and meadow is home to a variety of fruit trees and wildlife habitats, as well as an abundance of plants and shrubbery. Managed by a team of dedicated volunteers, Liquorice Park is still a bit of a hidden gem for visitors, but much loved within the local community. Ascend the steps of the park to experience nature in action, and pause for a minute to enjoy the bird song. If you’re looking for things to do during your downtime, you can always sign up to be a volunteer - gardening is great for your mental health!
3. Fossdyke Canal Trail
For a taste of the Lincolnshire countryside, without leaving the city, you can enjoy a leisurely walk along the scenic Fossdyke Canal Trail. Running alongside the historic Fossdyke Navigation, this public footpath runs all the way from Lincoln to the village of Saxilby. Start your walk off at the beautiful Brayford Pool and as you enter the sprawling countryside, you’ll discover plenty of picturesque landscapes. As you reach the halfway point, you will find the Pyewipe, a fantastic family-run pub and restaurant. Boasting one of the best beer gardens in the city, this waterfront pub is the perfect place to stop for a refreshing pint.
4. Lincoln South Common
The perfect park for a sunny day out, the South Common is a wide grassy area, full of shrubs, woodland and wildlife. Easily walkable from the south of the city, you can enter the common from South Park Avenue or Newark Road. Grab the gang for a game of football or tennis and you can enjoy a picnic on the grass, before making your way uphill for a fantastic view of the sprawling city below.
