Christmas Makers’ Market and Antiques Fair
Saturday 2 & Sunday 3 December, 10.00am - 4.00pm
Two of Lincoln’s monthly markets will be joining forces for one fantastically festive event. On the 2nd and 3rd of December, the Makers Market and the Antiques Market will be coming together for a collective Christmas celebration.
The Antiques Market attracts specialists dealers from across the country, whilst the Makers Market showcases some of the best local makers and artists in Lincolnshire. You will have the chance to browse collectables and valuables, alongside handcrafted homeware and modern artwork.
The Christmas Makers’ Market and Antiques Fair will be the perfect place to pick up a unique gift, or a treat for yourself. As this event will take place in Castle Square, you can soak up the festive atmosphere of Lincoln’s historic Cathedral Quarter as you browse the eclectic selection of stalls.
Prikli Pear Christmas Market
Sunday 3 December, 10.00am - 4.00pm
Prikli Pear is an award-winning fashion brand, located just a short walk from Newport Arch and the Cathedral Quarter. Hot pink and impossible to ignore, the Prikli Pear shop is full of products by local makers, with everything from cards to fashion accessories on offer.
To celebrate the start of the festive season, Prikli Pear will be hosting their very own Christmas Market, packed with products from local makers. Showcasing work by artisans from across the county, there will be a range of products available to browse, including jewellery, candles, artwork and ceramics.
Lincoln Cathedral Craft Fair
Friday 8 & Saturday 9 December, 10.30am - 4.30pm
If you’re looking for the market with the best backdrop, the Cathedral will be hosting a craft fair in the beautiful setting of the Cloisters on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 December.
As you come in through the Nave, you will have an opportunity to soak up the festive atmosphere in the cathedral before you shop. Make your way to the cloisters and you’ll discover a carefully-curated choice of local crafters and artists ready to share their traditional and contemporary skills with you.
Stop by the Cathedral Gift Shop on your way out for more Lincolnshire-themed items. It doesn’t get more local than a model of the Lincoln Imp - or a bottle of Lincoln Gin!
County Assembly Rooms Christmas Market
Friday 8 - Sunday 10 December, 10.00am - 9.00pm
The Lincoln County Assembly Rooms will be hosting a three day Christmas Market this December. Ideally situated in the beautiful Bailgate, the Assembly Room’s Christmas Market will feature a wide range of festive stalls, alongside foods, drinks, and live music.
There will also be a Christmas afternoon tea available in the Edwardian suite, perfect for soaking up the festive atmosphere after some shopping (pre-booking required).
This event is dog-friendly, so you are more than welcome to bring your furry friend along for the festivities
Winter Market at Lincoln Museum
Saturday 9 December, 10.00am - 4.00pm
On 9 December, independent publishing label Shelf Editions will be hosting a Winter Market at the Lincoln Museum.
This independent market is a great opportunity to support local artists and makers - and find some unusual gifts for your loved ones. Alongside the stalls, there will also be some craft workshops to take part in, including metal wreath making and felt decoration making (advance booking required).
To add a little extra sparkle to this event, the Lincoln Museum will also be serving a festive menu in their café, from 11am to 3pm. Mince pie anyone?
Lincoln Medieval Christmas Market
Thursday 14 - Sunday 17 December, times vary per day
It’s back! Lincoln’s beloved Medieval Christmas Market is returning to the city. Held at St Mary le Wigford Church in the city centre, this popular event will host the fantastic artisan craftspeople of The Travelling Historical Market.
Bringing history to life, there will be spiced punch, music, and lots of festive cheer whilst you browse the stalls. With quirky and individual products, many handmade, you are sure to find something niche here.
The Medieval Christmas Market is also a fantastic opportunity to explore St Mary le Wigford. Built over a thousand years ago, it has a record of unbroken service, being one of only two churches to remain open after the city was devastated by the Siege of Lincoln in 1644.
Lincoln Farmers Market
Saturday 16 December, 9.00am - 4.00pm
The last Farmers Market of the year will take place in Lincoln on Saturday 16 December. Full of delicious Lincolnshire food and drink, the Farmer’s Market is a fantastic opportunity to pick up some locally sourced produce, and meet the people who produce it!
With local meat, fish, bread and ahem, gin, on offer, you can stock up on supplies ahead of the big day. If you’ve got a foodie in your family, you will also find some great gift ideas here, whether that’s a jar of jam - or a joint of ham.
As the market is situated in Castle Square, you can grab a coffee and soak up the festive atmosphere whilst you shop. Head into the Bailgate afterwards to discover more independent businesses, and plenty more gift ideas.
