Sightseeing Bus Tour

Take a tour on 'Tour Lincoln', the open top city sightseeing bus with live commentary, and experience Lincoln for yourself. This tour takes in the highlights of Lincoln and you'll hear all about the history of the city with our entertaining and knowledgeable guides.

Live commentary brings Lincoln’s history to life on the hop-on hop-off bus tour; the perfect way to experience the city. Your 24-hour ticket provides unlimited access throughout the day - you can hop-on and -off at any of the 12 stops as many times as you like. Tickets can be purchased at the Visitor Information Centre on Castle Hill or on the bus itself.  The first tour leaves the cathedral at 10am and the last leaves at 3pm. Each tour lasts just under one hour.

Children under 16 go free and there is a discount for students. Tours run on weekends and bank holidays in low season (March, April, May and June, September and October) and seven days a week throughout July and August. 

The full tour lasts just under one hour and stops include:

  • Lincoln Cathedral
  • Northgate
  • Newport Arch
  • Museum of Lincolnshire Life
  • Lincoln Castle
  • The Lawn
  • Brayford Waterfront
  • University of Lincoln
  • St Marks Shopping Centre
  • Railway Station
  • High Street
  • Cultural Quarter.

Please note there are some dates when events are taking place that the route may be subject to change.

Group Bookings

Tour Lincoln is available for private hire and groups for just £150, including the full bus and guide for an hour's tour around all 12 stops.  Contact the Visitor Information Centre for more information.

Each tour leaves on the hour and lasts approximately 50-60 minutes.  First tour leaves the cathedral at 10am and the last tour leaves at 3pm.

Tickets available from our online shop, the Visitor Information Centre or on the bus itself.

Children: £4 (in addition to the 2 free children per adult)
