Explore Lincoln Castle during February half term to meet a host of Victorians and learn about some of the vilest jobs in Britain.

During February half term meet a crowd of Victorian costumed characters with some of the most awful occupations and horrible jobs in history as living history brings the Castle to life.

Built by William the Conqueror in 1068, Lincoln Castle has dominated the Lincoln skyline for almost one thousand years.  During your visit you can walk the Medieval Walls for stunning views of Lincoln Cathedral and across the city; an audio tour will guide your through the castle's history.

Inside the Castle walls is the Victorian prison giving an insight into crime and punishment in the Lincoln of the past. Inside the prison you will find the subterranean Magna Carta vault, housing one of only four surviving original copies of Magna Carta, and a small cinema screen to tell you its important story.
