Chester Cathedral organist Philip Rushforth performs on Lincoln Cathedral's Father Willis Organ.

Take this opportunity to hear one of Europe's finest organists perform on Lincoln Cathedral's world famous ‘Father’ Henry Willis Organ, in the cathedral's stunning nave.

Philip is well recognised across Europe and he has been known to perform at several international Organ Festivals. He was appointed Director of Music at Chester Cathedral in December 2007 and under Philips direction, the Cathedral Choirs have been a part of UK concerts, live CD and television recordings and tours of Florida, Belgium and France.


  • Willan: Prelude and Fugue in C minor
  • Vierne: Arabesque (24 Pièces en style libre)
  • Bach: Chorale Partita; ‘Ach, was soll ich Sünder machen’ (BWV 770)
  • Parry: Prelude on Eventide
  • Harris: A Fancy
  • Willan: Introduction, Passacaglia and Fugue.
