A festival featuring more than 100 great walks across the East Midlands’ only Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Lincolnshire Wolds Walking Festival returns for its 14th year, offering great walking across the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The festival remains one of the largest and best-attended events of its kind in the UK. This year, there are over 100 walks, ranging from half a mile to 76 miles, so there really is something for everyone.

Many walks are family friendly and feature fun activities such as shelter building, bushcraft, treasure trails, bug hunts and more, so there's plenty to keep the little ones busy during the May half term.

The packed programme also feature routes suitable for wheelchair users and accessible with pushchairs.

The festival aims to inspire young people to take part in the walks and there are lots of fun events and activities designed for toddlers right through to teenagers. With under 18s free on all walks (except for some special events) this makes for a fun and affordable day out for all the family.

Festival Launch

Join the organisers on Saturday 19th May from 10am at Nettleton’s eco friendly village hall, a great base for the day’s walking with ample free parking, for the official launch of the festival. There will be plenty for all to see and do. The High Sheriff of Lincolnshire, Ian Walter, will be in attendance to launch the festival with an official opening at 10.15am.

The Lincolnshire Wolds Walking Festival is Co-ordinated by Heritage Lincolnshire and delivered in partnership with Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service, Lincolnshire County Council and East and West Lindsey District Councils.
