Art, Craft & Unique Gifts

The Strait hosts four extra Makers' Market over the summer, selling a range of beautiful handmade and bespoke arts, crafts and unique gifts.

Taking place every third Saturday on the month between June and September, the Summer Makers' Market is a great visitor experience, and offers a fantastic opportunity to buy bespoke pieces for your home, or unique gifts for your loved ones.

Located at the bottom of Steep Hill, the Summer Makers' Market in surrounded by independent shops, cafe's, bars and restaurants on the cobbled area of The Strait.

Showcasing a range of traditional and contemporary arts and crafts, the Makers' Markets are a great place for you to browse and buy affordable artwork and crafts from local professionals and emerging artists. With over 20 stalls filled with original paintings, limited edition prints, hand crafted ceramics, glass art, textiles and much more, there is something for everone. 

The Lincoln Makers' Market is a bi-monthly event running from March - December, with additional markets through the summer months:

  • Every 1st Saturday of the Month: Castle Hill
  • Every 2nd Saturday of the Month: Lincoln Cornhill
  • Extra Summer Markets, every 3rd Saturday from June - September: The Strait
