A two day, Medieval tournament at Lincoln Castle of full contact jousting for the honour of Lincoln. Four brave and fully armoured Knights, mounted on horseback, will compete in a Joust of Peace each day.
Meet the Knights, choose your champion and cheer him on. Together with musicians, surgeon, armourer and a cast of Medieval characters, this weekend brings together some of the best jousters in the country with a full supporting programme of Medieval activity throughout Lincoln Castle.
Built by William the Conqueror in 1068, Lincoln Castle has dominated the Lincoln skyline for almost one thousand years. During your visit you can walk the Medieval Walls for stunning views of Lincoln Cathedral and across the city; an audio tour will guide you through the castle's history.
Inside the Castle walls is the Victorian prison giving an insight into crime and punishment in the Lincoln of the past. Inside the prison you will find the subterranean Magna Carta vault, housing one of only four surviving original copies of Magna Carta, and a small cinema screen to tell you its important story.
