Located in the city's Cultural Quarter, Lincoln Central Library hosts regular events and activities for the whole family, exhibitions in the gallery, offers free access to books and computers and is the home of the county’s main local studies collection.

Lincoln Central Library is located in the city centre, just a short walk from both the Cornhill and high street shopping areas within the Cultural Quarter. The library hosts a wide range of free events for all ages, including rhyme time and messy play for babies and toddlers, Lego clubs and craft activities for older children, coffee mornings and IT classes for adults and special themed events and talks year round.

The large Community Room and smaller activities rooms are available for hire, and the building has a variety of community meeting spaces and a quiet study area which are free to use.

In recent years the library has seen the addition of an exhibition gallery that is popular with local artists and photography groups.

The heart of the county library service, the library has a wide range of popular books for children and adults, from the latest bestselling fiction to the must have cook book of the moment, and is the home of the main local studies collection for the County.
