Heritage doesn’t get more hands-on then this - try workshops and classes on traditional crafts such as stone masonry and stained-glass window painting at the newly built Heritage Skills Centre within the walls of Lincoln Castle.
The Heritage Skills Centre is a multi- functional and dynamic building in the Lincoln Castle grounds which is the focus of heritage crafts and skills development in Lincolnshire, providing hands on experience and application through short courses, lectures, demonstrations and apprenticeships.
The building, which is the first new construction within the Castle walls for over 150 years, also gives visitors the chance to watch Lincoln Cathedral’s master craftsmen and trainees at work.
Course taster days are available, designed purely to give you an introduction to the craft of your choice, and if you wish to continue with your education, bespoke weekly 2 – 3 hour classes can be arranged.
To book a place on any of the taster days or courses, complete the booking form on the Heritage Skills Centre website. If you are already experienced in these crafts and would like to start at a higher level, contact the Heritage Skills Centre with your request.
