Built by order of William the Conqueror 'two of the most iconic medieval buildings on top of Lincoln's Steep Hill' - these two symbols of church and state are must-see attractions.

PLUS a free return visit to both Lincoln Castle and Lincoln Cathedral within 6 months is included with each Joint Ticket.

At certain times during the year Magna Carta is at rest and unavailable. Please see the Lincoln Castle website for details of which documents are on display and when.

The Joint Ticket is also available at Lincoln Visitor Information Centre.

How to redeem your ticket(s)

Redeem your e-ticket (printed email or shown on device) for a physical joint ticket at the Visitor Information Centre, Castle Hill, Lincoln, LN1 3AA.

Terms and Conditions

Your e-ticket will not grant admission to either Lincoln Cathedral or Lincoln Castle. The e-ticket must be redeemed at Lincoln Visitor Information for a Joint Ticket before visiting. The Joint Ticket is valid for one year from the date of the redemption of the e-ticket.

Please check opening times for Lincoln Castle and Lincoln Cathedral before you visit. Please check which documents are on display at Lincoln Castle before you visit - Magna Carta is sometimes off display.

The Joint Ticket includes a guided floor tour of the cathedral - subject to availability. Cathedral access is restricted on Sundays and during services, special events and religious holidays. There is no charge to visit the Cathedral on Sundays. Tickets are not valid for upper level tours in the cathedral (roof and tower).

Joint Tickets are not valid at either venue for special events or where a separate admission ticket is required. Please check before your visit. Joint Tickets are not transferable or refundable and all visits and tours are subject to availability. No part of the Joint Ticket is for resale - either the first visit or the return visit.

Family ticket entitles entry for up to two adults and three children.

Children under 16 must be accompanied and supervised at all times. Concession ticket is valid for persons aged 63 and over; unemployed; disabled; in full time education; in receipt of income support. Proof of entitlement must be provided.

The Joint Ticket is valid for one year for the first visit, and entitles holders to a return visit that must be used within 6 months of the first visit. The return visit is subject to availability and cannot be used for evening performances or special events. Visits to Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle do not need to be taken on the same day.
