Learn and Explore with PhotoWalks at Lincoln Cathedral

In partnership with Lincolnshire Photo Training, Lincoln Cathedral will see the return of a series of PhotoWalks and photographers' tours in 2018.

The Walks and Tours are specifically designed to allow photographers to explore the beauty & detail of the interior of one of the country’s finest Cathedrals with an expert guide & tutor and are thought to be unique.

Planned is a series of monthly PhotoWalks exploring the whole building at ground level, plus a photographers-only roof tour providing unique access to a fascinating world high above the Lincoln Cathedral floor. All tours start at 1:30pm unless otherwise stated:

  • 13th January;
  • 9th March (Photographers’ Roof Tour starting at 9am);
  • 10th March;
  • 14th April;
  • 12th May;
  • 16th June.

The PhotoWalks have been organised and will be led by Adam Winfield, owner & lead tutor at Lincolnshire Photo Training. He organises a range of tours, walks & courses in photogenic locations across the Lincoln area and, as a qualified teacher & photographer, helps participants explore through their camera lens and learn to take better photos.

Photography is a very sociable activity and a PhotoWalk is a great opportunity for enthusiasts to meet up, chat about their photography, discover something new to photograph and practice new things. The event is open to everyone, whether they just have a camera phone, a point and shoot compact or whether they’re a serious enthusiast with a fancy SLR camera.

Each walk is limited to a maximum number of participants to ensure everyone gets the support they require. The fee is £20 per person - including entry to Lincoln Cathedral itself.

Details and booking is available on the Lincolnshire Photo Training website.
