“In a digital age we still get thousands of requests for printed information about the city”, said Charlotte Goy from Visit Lincoln. “This year we have seen a strong demand for the guide from people looking for day trip and short holiday ideas – which all contributes to the growing visitor economy.”
The ‘City and Countryside Guide 2018’ was refreshed at the beginning of the year. The striking front cover of Lincoln Cathedral was taken by local photographer Jason Corrigan and the internal pages were redesigned by Lincoln based print professionals KM Media and Marketing. The opening welcome message was written by Lincolnshire born road racer, truck mechanic and TV presenter Guy Martin in the lead up to his World War One Tank replica TV show.
“Travel and tourism is really competitive market so getting the right front cover for the main visitor guide and offering the right content inside is essential,” said Charlotte Goy.
“I think the front cover photo given to us by Jason really made the publication stand out and contributes to the success we have seen this year. We like working in partnership on our projects and it has been a real pleasure joining forces with a local photographer who has a passion for the city.
“We’re also looking forward to working with KM Media again on the 2019 visitor guide. As professionals in the print industry they are helping us grow the print run and distribute of the guide. It’s a partnership which is working really well for the city.”
The ‘Visit Lincoln City and Countryside Guide’ is available for all tourism partners to stock in their business. It is also available, free of charge, for any business wanting to share information about the city to clients, customers or suppliers.
