Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, Germany

Lincoln has established strong own twinning relationships across the globe - perhaps the most well known is Neustadt an der Weinstrasse in Germany formed in 1969.

An historic town with beautiful historical buildings Neustadt an der Weinstrasse is Germany’s largest wine-growing community. The town was the inspiration for the inception of the Lincoln Christmas market, some 30 years ago.

Twin Towns

Tangshan, Hebei, China

Another of Lincoln's twin cities, Tangshan in China has a population of around 7 million. After suffereing a sever earthquake in 1976, Tangshan was rebuilt and has since become a popular tourist destination. Local Lincolnshire schools also participate in an exhange with Tangshan Foreign Language School, which sees pupils coming together for two weeks to experience life in a different culture.

Port Lincoln, Australia

Lincoln also has a friendship agreement with Port Lincoln, a city of around 14,000 people in South Australia, known as the "Seafood Capital of Australia". For more information, check out the Visit Port Lincoln website.

Radomsko, Poland

Lincoln also has a Twinning Agreement with Radomsko, Poland. Radomsko is one of the oldest cities in Poland and is located on the Radomka River in the southern part of the province of Piotrkow Trybunalski.
